For ElPulpo, sustainability is an essential part of our lifestyle. Our brand was born with that commitment in its DNA and
Our essence and fundamental principles revolve around one maxim: respect for the environment and love for nature.
We value fresh air and are fascinated by our landscapes, mountains, rivers and seas. We defend the richness of fauna and flora; and this is reflected in our designs and collections, inspired by the pantones of the land and oceans.
Since our birth we have established ourselves as a slow brand, constantly searching for alternatives.
more respectful and responsible. The path we have set out aims to reduce the impact that this industry has on the environment and to improve all phases of production, from the initial sketches of our designs to the end of the life cycle of our garments.
At elPulpo we seek to raise awareness, inspire and educate current and future generations in new ways of doing things that respect and value the richness of our environment and improve the conditions of the planet and those who inhabit it.
Because if there is one thing we are clear about, it is that sustainability is not a fad. It is not the future. It is now.

Materials
Organic cotton
Organic cotton is a natural fibre of plant origin obtained from the cotton plant, a shrub that is grown in more than 90 countries.
Unlike its conventional counterpart, organic cotton is grown with nature rather than against it, meaning it is free from genetically modified seeds and toxic chemicals.
What are its benefits?
Starting with the planting, organic cotton crops only use non-genetically modified seeds on land where crop rotation is practiced, helping to keep the soil healthy and fertile. In addition, these non-modified seeds will naturally provide farmers with new seeds that they can use in future crops.
The plantation is fed only with natural fertilizers, eliminating chemical fertilizers and pesticides and replacing them with organic variants. These types of chemicals are also eliminated from the washing, softening or bleaching processes, making them more environmentally friendly and helping us to save water, energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Taken together, a series of practices are triggered that improve the health of the land and of all those who work and live near the cotton plantations.

Materials
Recycled Polyester
Recycled polyester is a synthetic fibre, polyester, produced from recycled materials. Both versions share durability, versatility and strength, but the recycled option has a lower environmental impact.
What are its benefits?
It is obtained from PET bottles, industrial polyester waste and clothing. This reduces the consumption of virgin petroleum as a raw material, avoiding a specific demand and extraction from the textile sector and reducing its environmental footprint. In addition, 75% of toxic CO2 emissions are avoided in its production process.
